Democrat Legal & Partners

Privacy Policy

Democrat Legal & Partners (DLP) respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Last updated: 3 November 2026

1. What Information We Collect

When you use our contact form or WhatsApp us, we collect your name, phone number, and any details you choose to share. With the form we also record the page you sent it from, the referring site, and any campaign tags in the link (UTM values and Google Ads click identifiers such as gclid, gbraid and wbraid), so we can tell which pages and adverts bring enquiries.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, schedule a consultation, and follow up about your matter. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your consent.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the basis of your consent when you submit a form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our legal services.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. It may be shared with the partner or associate advocate handling your matter, and with service providers strictly to operate this site and respond to you: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (secure storage of form enquiries), Resend (email alerts of a new enquiry to the firm), CallMeBot (WhatsApp alerts of a new enquiry to the firm), Google (a private Google Sheet the firm keeps of enquiries) and, if you allow cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads. Each receives only what it needs for that purpose.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or loss.

6. Data Retention

We retain enquiry data only as long as needed to respond to you and, where a matter proceeds, for as long as required by professional and legal record-keeping obligations.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may ask us to correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to any legal or professional obligation to retain it. Contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies to measure enquiries: which pages, searches and adverts lead people to call, message or send the form. To credit an enquiry to the right source, the site also keeps the campaign tags and referring site of your first and latest visit in your browser (local storage and a first-party cookie, for 90 days) and sends them with the form.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, and Google Ads to measure whether our adverts lead to enquiries (for example, a form sent, or a tap on our phone number or WhatsApp link). These services are provided by Google and may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_<ID> (Analytics), and _gcl_au, _gcl_aw and similar cookies (Ads conversion measurement). Google's own practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

These cookies stay off until you choose "Allow" in the cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode: until you allow them, Google tags run without storing advertising or analytics cookies. If you choose "Decline", that choice is remembered in your browser.

To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser settings, after which the banner appears again. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on all sites with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and control ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal data. A small item is stored in your browser to remember your cookie choice.

9. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to third-party services (such as WhatsApp or Google Maps). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed at adults seeking legal counsel. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date.

12. Disclaimer

The information on this website is for general guidance only and does not constitute legal advice. Viewing this site or contacting us does not create an attorney–client relationship. Please do not share confidential case details through the contact form — we will open a private line if needed.
