DLP's chamber: No. 548, A Block, High Court, Lucknow
What the law says
The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT), set up under the Armed Forces Tribunal Act, 2007, hears service matters of members of the Army, Navy and Air Force, such as promotion, seniority, pay, pension and disability pension, and appeals against court-martial findings and sentences. The AFT has a Regional Bench at Lucknow. Retired personnel and families may also approach it on pension matters. Statutory complaints or representations under the service rules are usually made first. Orders of the AFT can be appealed to the Supreme Court as the Act provides.
